How can you know you’re getting the right dose of the right drug at the right time, every time?
Guesswork is a thing of the past. The future of better healthcare is finding medicines that work before you try the ones that don’t.
With important answers only a 60-second swab away, what are you waiting for?
Why wait? Begin today!
1. Request An Appointment
Call toll-free (888) 704-3637 or request an appointment online.
You’ll be connected with a customer service representative who will schedule your consultation with a provider. They will ask you questions about your health history and medications you have taken in the past, are now taking, and/or may be considering using in the future.
Those questions will include:
- Are you allergic to any medications that you know of?
- Have you ever had a bad reaction to medicines, or unusual/serious side effects from something you were taking?
- Are you taking medications right now?
- Do you have any illnesses that you are aware of?
- Do you have a family history of illness – cancer, heart attacks, depression, etc.?
2. Tele-Conference with a Provider
A provider will assess the results of your intake consultation and determine whether genetic testing is recommended. Together you will discuss whether you qualify for Genes Advice. If so, your kit will be mailed to you.
3. We Mail Out Your Test Kit
Within about 3-5 days, you’ll receive the easy-to-use Genes Advice test kit.
4. Take the Test and Send It Back
Swab your cheek and send the package back.
Read the instructions over carefully before you begin. The whole process takes about three minutes. Briefly, after rinsing your mouth out with water, you’ll use the kit’s enclosed sterile cotton swabstick to rub thoroughly around the inside of the mouth – each cheek, left and right, for about 30 seconds each. Without touching the tip, you’ll carefully replace the entire stick back into the original package. Label it with your name and date of birth. Place the package into the marked plastic bag. Place the bag into the Genes Advice pre-stamped return box, seal, and mail!
5. Talk to a Provider Again and Go Over Results
Your genetic testing will take approximately 5 days to complete. You will be contacted with the results, along with any further recommendations our provider may have regarding your current or future medications. This will help ensure that you receive the right dose of the right drug every time!
Before you order your test, your provider will make sure you know the benefits of getting tested. Afterward, they will discuss your results with you to make sure you understand all the ways your analysis can be used to improve your future care.
